Root is good, I forgot about that one tbh. The bookends are the highlights for me. These Balls and Penis Attack are solid tunes. The rest I don't care for

The only ones I actually dislike here are I Walk Beside You and Never Enough, but everything else is at least solid for me. Sacrificed Sons and the t/t redeem a good chunk of the record

I guess I am just not that big on Sacrificed Sons. It's not awful like Never Enough or I Walk Beside You, but it's not interesting either imo

Sacrificed is very good. Honestly this is better than I remembered when I spun the whole thing again. 55 minutes of good to great music alongside 20 minutes of mediocre to bad. Their 2000s albums really suffer from extra long run-times for the sake of it. Also Labrie sounds great here, on BC+SL he sounds jarring compared to this.

>Haven't listened to classic Dream Theater in quite awhile.

I hate that "classic DT" is now a thing

RIP classic DT

Yea, but their career is long enough for these categories.

Thinking about jamming this again, but then I remember about thinking this a few times in the past and it just wasn't worth it

I find it incredibly ironic that this guy who claims to be the arbiter of good taste has a Ted poster behind him. [2]

Saw them at the o2 yesterday for the 40th anniversary tour.

Couldn't believe what i was hearing when hey started to play t/t IN FULL

First time played since 2006. We were the first show of the tour so no spoilers either but damn, hearing that live made those tickets so worth it
