smear some dirt on your face for that real natural "unearthed" look.

I'll bury my clothes so they'll have that fresh grave scent.

You going to the Somerville show? I was gonna go there but it can be a bitch to find parking for that venue (saw 1349 there in January). Portland is a bit farther of a drive for me but it's no hassle getting there.
Wolves were excellent. Queen of Borrowed Light and I Will Lay Down My Bones was worth it alone.

I have succeeded! Yes I'm going to the show for sure now. I can't wait.

so
holy shit that show was awesome
except for the fire alarm going off because Wolves tried to make the Once Ballroom into a hazy northwestern forest
and I got to take home a pair of candles since it was the end of the tour
pure bliss during Vastness & Sorrow and Rocks and Roots.
|
| |
That's awesome you scored some candles! When I saw them in 2009ish for the Black Cascade tour the "venue" (art gallery) they played at kept cutting power from the amps so they'd have to stop and start halfway through a 12 minute song.. it happened twice, and everyone, including them, was pretty pissed.

that's so much worse. this was a pretty organized "what the fuck is going on...oh. everyone go outside and come back in and we'll finish the show."
I got to talk to Aaron briefly after the show. Thanked him and gave him a copy of Five Treasures, which Wolves were obviously a big influence for. He seemed legitimately grateful and said they'd jam it on the way home.
|
| |
Nice! but what's Five Treasures?

Five Treasures of Snow, my first album under Dzö-nga. super ambient blizzardy black metal.
|
| |
Sounds sweet Seven, setting the fire alarms off is p kvlt m/
|
| |
Oh yeah, I jammed that when you released it. Good stuff, but really wish it had some drums still. Kinda unique that it doesn't, but it makes it a little too ambient for my personal preferences.

@Dungeon Cool man, thanks. Next album's in the mixing stage and does have drums, haha. Looking at a February release through Avantgarde, which I'm excited about.
@Artuma Wolves are known for being anti-moshing, so if that's you thing you're def gonna be bored lol.
|
| |
I would pay solid dollar to see a Two Hunters in full set.
|
| |
Dude, Avantgarde?! That's a killer label. Can't wait to hear it.
