That Moore solo in Take The Time is among my fav synthesizer solos ever. Moore's style was a class of its own, feeling and skill perfectly blended.

A bit strange choice for an opener when so many other great ones exist but I would have been excited to hear that masterpiece played live.

This is terrible, would've given it 1.5 if the Sputnik rating police would've allowed such a thing. It's just so unbelievably cheesy, like bad 80s soft-rock ballad cheesy. It's actually hilariously bad. The vocals are bad, the drums sound synthetic & what's with all the weird out-of-place electronic stuff. And I know they're called Dream Theater but not EVERYTHING has to sound all weird & distorted like your floating around in space, it just doesn't fit. Rant over, not my thing I guess.

"all weird & distorted like your floating around in space"

That doesn't sound like a bad thing to me.

Even though I do agree that this is a little too much on the cheesy side of things

As you probably know I haven't got anything against a good dose of well-done cheese, but Another Day is too much. That saxophone ...

Strangely, I don't feel that way about Surrounded, at least not that much.

That sax is the best lad, nothing beats a good bit of fine brie.

Yeah, Surrounded is awesome. Although I have to be in the mood to really love it, but when I am it hits hard. I always name it as an example of emotional, non-wankery Dream Theater along with Space Dye Vest (which, in turn, is my favorite Dream Theater song).

The 2nd track was the worst & Glass Moon. I don't know, could've been cool if it was a little more restrained & tastefully done. Interesting ideas terribly executed. Like I said, not my thing. Not trying to cause a fuss but nobody has taken it to heart (yet), so all good.

The beginning of Surrounded always reminds me of Mario Galaxy,
