It's more similar to it than any of the albums after BMR. That one is pure no wave. It was my favourite when I first got into SY.

I like BMR enough not to dispute this lol. Although I always felt q awkward that my fave from my copy was Halloween, which came a bonus track
and yes Confusion is Sex is kinda its own thing compared to the rest of their discog. doesn't overstay its welcome and has a great mid section
