This band/album is underrated which is a wild thing for me to say but it’s true I think. Just bangers, prefer quite a few early punk albs to it but put some respect on the sex pistols’ name

i refuse. band is boring and there is way better punk out there

and although many brits consider this blashphemy, i believe the yanks were/are better at punk than us. Dead Kennedys blow these guys out of the water

The butter stuff is unforgivable but read Lydons autobiography, watch The Filth and the Fury and look at how the band gestated.

The UK brats of today are like the yanks of the late 70s. Spoilt as fuck and mostly clueless.

brats of today? what age we talking zak?

cos child poverty has been consistently rising and austerity hasnt exactly worked out well so i dunno about spoilt as fuck except for the posh minority

also every generation has been mostly clueless, lets not act like the youth of the past were enlightened

Child poverty in the UK is a tool used to score political points.

People claim poverty while being provided for by the state and spend outgoings on fags, booze, drugs, labels, mobile phone tariffs and all the rest of it

Take a stroll through a 3rd world slum for comparison it opens the eyes

Then you’ve got the whole homelessness issue which more often than not is as a result of circumstances out of people’s control who have then gone on to be chucked out of temporary accommodation, homeless shelters, bail hostels or alternative refuge as a result of the choices they’ve then undertaken.

"People claim poverty while being provided for by the state"

this is literally the argument that birthed austerity and it's ten years out of date. it was also a home run of a political point-scorer

"Take a stroll through a 3rd world slum for comparison it opens the eyes"

and why would you actively choose that as your bottom line for poverty in a developed country? weird argument that is equally as applicable (and as unhelpful) to the UK 70s. "my boss is a bad person"/"stfu he's not hitler" etc
