what dylan said, mhtrtc is all about positivity and nostalgia for me (with some ominous vibes). new album might be a classic, hovering between a 4.5 and 5. definitely better than this one and manages to edge out campfire headphase too.

That's exactly how I feel about it too, the only track I didn't really like upon first listen was White Cyclosa.

Yeah, that's definitely their weakest full-length, I think I have it at 3.5

I think when it comes down to it I just find the actual songwriting on here much stronger than on MHTRTC. I don't really get what people find incredible about the songs on that album.

The intro to Split Your Infinities is the best part of the new album.

there's quite a bit of filler/throwaway interludes and what not on here. the songs on mhtrtc seem much more whole and immediate to me. i mean i love this album, but a lot of the songs are very repetitive and whereas mhtrtc is consistent in its overall atmosphere and moods, this is much more scatterbrained (dawn chorus, 1969, music is math).

I can see that, but the actual songs have more in them in regards to the vocal samples and instrumental work. I can appreciate MHTRTC's atmosphere but it doesn't seem to have much else apart from intricate beat rhythms, and I've never been into those as much.

I managed to find a download but it's missing the first track and obviously the quality isn't amazing. Had to convert the filetype before it would play on my iPod as well.

I ripped the stream and have the album on my iTunes. Been listening non stop.
Atm.
Geogaddi/MHTRTC/TH/TCH.
Nothin will beat Geogaddi in my books.

I think Come To Dust is my favourite off the new one but I'm definitely not feeling it anywhere as much as this one. I guess Geogaddi was just a fluke

there's quite a bit of filler/throwaway interludes and what not on here.
i mean, there are quite a few interlude tracks on here, but i feel they really add to the experience. i view the album as a
dark and twisted rabbit hole freefall through your consciousness and they really add to that feeling of anxiousness, and
they also help split up the meatier tracks which gives you a second to collect yourself before diving into the next one

Tomorrow's Harvest feels like a stylistic greatest hits in that combines what's so distinctive about the three previous records: the atmospherics of The Campfire Headphase, the darkness of Geogaddi and the intelligent dance music of Music Has the Right to Children. That it pulls from all three yet somehow sounds wholly singular is just amazing.
