What the hell happened to Mike's vocals after this album? I'm a little apprehensive about their new record after hearing his guest spot on Deconstruction. I liked the old barks instead of the new burbs, his vocals on [i]Reveries[i] being my favorite.

Mike's growl was at it's best in The Grand Conjuration. A dude's voice can't get much more powerful and commanding than that.

The only song that annoys me off this album is Atonement.
I would have been fine with it had it only been three minutes long... but six and a half? C'mon man. I know you're Opeth and all but you have to draw the line somewhere to avoid sounding drawn-out and repetitive.

The Grand Conjuration is the second best song off of this album right behind Ghost of Perdition. The Baying of the Hounds is #3 by a large margin. Everything else is still pretty damn enjoyable, though.
