That's a beautiful discribtion post rock

Nah, is that angst-filled and introspective?
Also my quote is from wikipedia's grunge entry so it's the official truth.

Mh, it could fit some prog as well.
If you adjust your mind to it, anything can be angst-filled.
Also I can't find your definition on the wikipedia page. The page DOES have some good point though, so thank for making me check it out lol

I quoted these link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grunge

The main argument against post-rock is that it's often instrumental. Ya don't get that with grunge no sir.

SITTING HERE LIKE UNINVITED COMPANY
WALLOWING IN MY OWN INSANITY
SHARE A CIGARETTE WITH NEGATIVITY
LEANING ON THE PEDESTAL THAT HOLDS MY SELF DENIAL
FIRING THE PISTOL THAT SHOOTS MY HOLY PRIDE
SITTING HERE LIKE WET ASHES WITH 'X's IN MY EYES
AND DRAWING FLIES

Belated RIP.
Been revisiting this lately. I started listening to Soundgarden in ‘92/93 when I was about 12. I loved this album at the time, but always saw it as inferior to Superunknown and Down on the Upside. Now I see it as basically equal to those albums.

Slaves & Bulldozers is fucking godly. Outshined, Jesus Christ Pose, Searching with my Good Eye, Room a Thousand Years Wide, Somewhere…album is pretty fucking stacked.

I'd take this above Superunkown and Down On the Upside but any Soundgarden album is golden, except for the 2012 album I still haven't heard that one so I can't judge.
As a kid I never disliked Soundgarden but I always found myself turning to Nirvana and especially Alice In Chains much more. I think it had to do with how much my mom loved Spoonman despite me thinking it's the worst song off of Superunknown. Nowadays in my early 20s I listen to Soundgarden almost as much as Alice In Chains.

So Brandi Carlile wants to front Soundgarden and tour.

bless her ambition but there's no way any singer could live up to Chris, no way of avoiding backlash

The only way I could see it being feasible is if they went the Queen route and called it "Soundgarden + Brandi Carlile" so they could be under that umbrella instead of making music under the original name
