I think II is the best, followed by I then III. III has the best lyrics but the wah guitar, odd mood changes, and bad singing kind of kills it.

1st Unforgiven easily best. DM is closest to 80’s but wears off quick.
Still full of Hetfield’s annoying intonations and exclamations at the end of some lines, the ‘yeah, woh, shamoh’ type things he started doing when he hooked up with Bob Rock on the Black Album.
Nightmare best track but those intonations:
‘...all nightmare long (yeah)...luck runs out...ta’
