Only problem is it drags a few times. This would be my favorite dm album if it was a little shorter

"so this is the band harlots ripped off huh"

Lots of "experimental" bands have ripped them off so yes probably

This def drags a bit for me but this is the most challnging dm album I've ever listened to (and it's not even close) so maybe my ears can't take all the ~~sonic destruction~~

The only reason I don't 5 this is because it's so long. If it was 50 minutes this would be my favorite dm album no contest, I can't think of any actual flaws outside of that.

Wisdom is by far more accessible and technically skilled (Except for the drums) but the charm has been lost a bit in translation, it doesn't feel as insane or unique as this

Actually I think I could see you digging From Wisdom To Hate a little more. It's a bit more intense, a tad more streamlined or accessible, but nearly as crazy-sounding. Also doesn't repeat itself quite as much.

The fact Gorguts went in the direction they did on From Wisdom to Hate makes that their best album; streamlined and much more accessible. They fell backwards on their ass with Coloured Sands.

Insane and unique =/= amazing! This is an exception to the rule though. I do like this quite a bit but not nearly as much as their first two albums and FWtH.

This is really just obvious but it comes down to tastes and what you wanna hear from tah 'Guts;

FWtH is by far their most mature and carefully crafted effort, while Obscura is much, much more wild and sounds like little else, even today. So it's like if you wanna hear them perfecting their signature sound at the cost of the experimentation being toned down some notches then Fwth is the best, if you wanna hear them performing (and excelling at) things you'll probably never hear anywhere else, even from them, then Obscura is easily the best

damn too much logic need to get back to useless shit posting quick

I can't believe the names some people give their bands. Oh well, I guess not every band can be called Led Zeppelin
