I still think White Pony and s/t are their two best albums, but this is number 3 for me...but I gotta say that it’s in serious danger of being unseated by Ohms. Only time will tell. I will make any rash decisions. This is serious stuff here.

CMND/CTRL, Butcher, Prince, Rocket Skates, and 967-EVIL for me. Used to be my favorite before Ohms. White Pony is overrated imo, the more straight ahead metal stuff like Feiticeira, Street Carp, and Korea feel halfhearted to me.

'The brutally honest truth is big if true Deftones fans were all devastated by what happened with Chi and this album coming out was more of a therapy session than a good album. In a way it deserved this 4.2 average the year it came out, but it's not even close to a 4.2. In some ways it's just not good at all.'
not my take on this album at all, this was the first Deftones albums I heard and I literally knew nothing about the context with Chi and it did and still does absolutely slap
