Thought TGM remix was awesome.

Remaster sounds really nice.
Quick question, who does the shouted harsh vocals around six minutes in to ‘Prequel to the Sequel’?
Assuming it’s a guest spot but if it’s anyone else from the band, especially Tommy, then it’s a crime they don’t use them more!

First year of high school I thought this shit was some of the best metal I’ve ever heard

@Shemson I think it was one of their tech guys or something, he did vocals somewhere on The Great Misdirect too if I remember correctly.
Also, I really don't know why they remixed and -mastered this, maybe for the vinyls? Because the original already sounds really good. Also, I guess it's quite expensive to get five records remixed and -mastered... Will check it though

I think you’re right Beardog. I always enjoyed the beginning vocal interplay of Swim To The Moon and I think that’s the same guy.

just going into the remix/remaster, it sounds really awkward. IDK man, this just sounds like every other BtBaM record with the obvious 'high end' mixing (lots of treble). It does sound a lot more energetic though. Not sure if I like it (more) or not
EDIT: Especially the intro to Informal Gluttony just sounds so high- and mid-rangey, don't think I like it. The more 'muddy' production fit this record better I think. Now it just sounds like an overproduced version of the original imo

Okay, it does sound really good but it has a little too much high mid (3k to 5k?), although that does make the more heavy sections sound insanely hectic and cool. Listening on higher quality also really helps, that's where it shines for sure. Jamie King really hasn't lost it, glad they worked with him for these (albeit a bit useless) remixes/remasters

The remaster on this sounds amazing. I always forget how good this album is until I rejam it.

The climax of Ants of the Sky still gives me goosebumps. I mean yeah, it's basically Pachelbel's Canon, but it still sounds great

Album has grown on me over the years, definitely.
Still think the Foam Born tracks and Sun of Nothing are the best, though.

BTBAM's always been a band that attracts dilusional crybabies and godawful edgelord purists. yall can pathetically 1, 2 or 3 this but the monolithic avrg withstands any pitiful trolling attempt out of sheer ignorance. no ones gonna remember u anyway

Honestly, big respect for holding that 4.2 since the beginning. Although 4000+ ratings is going to be hard to topple no matter what
