Nice, thanks a lot.

(I mostly know him from the Asterix comics.)

Still unsure about this part, eli5:

>respectfully honouring the dead (“The evil that men do lives after them; The good is oft interred with their bones;).

''(I mostly know him from the Asterix comics.)'' [2!!!!!] Omg those are the best I'm currently going through all of them again in chronological order.

That was a great interpretations Aeri. Exactly what I meant.

“The evil that men do lives after them;”

Basically the damage is already done and Caeser’s actions remain after his death - Rome need to fix this

“The good is oft interred with their bones”

Whatever good was within Caeser dies and is buried with him (interred means to bury or place within a grave), and Rome’s goodwill towards Caeser is also buried with him.

Thank you. Is this respectful, though?

In a way, yes.

“I come to bury Caesar”, “The good is oft interred with their bones; So let it be with Caesar” and “Come I to speak in Caesar’s funeral“ all indicate at least a funeral should take place, despite how damaging Caesar had been.

Reading up on Caeser’s funeral and the surrounding tributes of gifts and funeral games, Rome still seemed to pay a good amount of respect to him, but it’s also worth remembering that they would have feared the gods wrath if they had mistreated his body: surely for someone to rise to such power, the gods considered him with a certain amount of favour?

Love the singing Aeri.
Wait, should we shorten it to Aeri or Aeris? Now I'm all confused.
