Ahh shit, is this the new "the EP wasn't very good" nonsense we'll have to get corrected?

And wow, kind of forgot about Evergreen Terrace for the last 15 years. My god, the production on that song is terrible.

closer takes way too long to take off, they should have chopped the interlude and the first 3 min off the closer and this thing would feel more succinct. Once Mona Lisa ends, it feels like it takes forever for the end of the album to pick back up again.

It is a very stark contrast to CT's closer opening straight away with "I WANT MY ICE CREAM!"

Evergreen Terrace aren't my favorite but I've always loved that song title. Also gotta rep for my fellow Floridians lol

“closer spends too much time rummaging around in the dark with one hand and trawling its y-fronts for a magical third testicle with the other agreed”

Idk if I’d go that far but I agree in spirit kinda

Depends if you want to see a mathcore band embracing the poppier/melodic aspects of their sound. That's where I find the band excels despite enjoying most of the heavier stuff. I don't find much in common with Dillinger on here aside from the screamed vocals and tempo changes. FWIW I did not really dig this band's past releases but really enjoyed this one

I'd say give it a go. I didn't like their prior work either but this hit the spot

Kinda hard to imagine you not liking this scrolling some of your ratings. But, jr had disappointed me in the same way even if he is coming around.

If you think this is too long, maybe jump in with Celebrity Therapist.

I think the little spoken word bit at end of birds into the opening of demon might be one of my favourite passages on here.

Annoying is something I get in pieces here also. Didn’t feel that way about CT but have since the EP. It’s like they leaned into the weird too hard to the point of grating at times. I don’t know. Prob an eye of the beholder thing

Definitely just a personal preference thing. The increase in weird resonates immensely with me.

CT was probably closer to being TDEP worship, but I'd take TDEP worship over this any day.
