I'm against cultural boycotts in general, just don't be a hypocrite about it like Nick Cave (pro-playing in Israel but anti-playing in Russia). The fact that Max is from Israel makes their shows there more understandable, I won't begrudge someone wanting to play in their hometown.

Honestly they would have done better to just announce the shows with no elaborate explanation. Their reasoning is apolitical and too 'lovey dovey world peace'. There would be less backlash if they didn't say anything at all.

Sparrow, Dried Roses, and Love Love Love are weaker songs, but not bad at all

Sparrow is the best and biggest pleb filter this band could have written and it is perfect for what it is

Sparrow is a momentum killer and kind of but not always a skip (the harmonies are cool). Almost every other song (possible exceptions love love love, blurred view, and dried roses) is great which is an amazing hit rate
