Don't care what everyone else thinks, at least there's still The Artificials.
'Pale Iris' teaser made me think of the band ALLT.

Fireside and Whisper are definitely closer to an octane/radio kinda sound. But in general IA doesn't really come close to butt-rock stuff.

As whole songs maybe but there’s many other parts throughout Heavener that draw on that same sound to me

Put it this way I could absolutely see IA making deftones coar at some point. I hope they don’t and tread the line, but it would surprise me 0

I mean, 9 out of 10 times bands fail to pull off a new sound, but who knows, they might the ones who do
I always give hundredth as an example - their og core stuff sucked but their gazey stuff has been largely great

New song's good but kind of a "Pull From the Ghost: Pt. 2", and yeah Jesse's voice sounds a bit deeper

That wasn't nearly as bad as you guys made it out to be, thought it was pretty decent. Jesse's voice does sound a bit shot tho

From the brutal breakdown and harsh vocals to the angelic clean chorus to the intricate guitar riffs, ERRA is the band that has perfected their sound and it’s no doubt they are leading this genre
|

(jesse sounds like he's fighting for his life on these vocals lol)
