you ever had a satisfying days-worth of fitness? ever went to an intense drum circle on the empty beach away from citylife where you awaken some dark spiritual shit inside you? or in the cave? you ever fought for you own LIFE?? I have experienced all that, those are very intense moments. neurosis radiate all shit primal to the sense, intense and with no pretense.

I listen to Isis and get cinematic vibes across and through what they offered, but they don't make me feel like "damn this is shaking something deep within my primal senses".

I listen to Cult of Luna and enjoy that they know how to sludge, but they don't know how to sludge like Neurosis. not one band does. none came close.
if you haven't watched that one Locust Star vid from Ozzfest and understood the appeal from that then continue living life with that empty void that needs to be filled by Neurosis.

If you threw in The Ocean with Neurosis, Isis, and Cult of Luna would you maybe consider that the big 4 of post metal?
If that seems like a stupid question, no one kill me please. I'm just more or less wondering if those are the most essential bands to the genre.
