I wouldn't pick just one, again, these guys are an amalgamation of the scene's best (a mostly inferior amalgamation in my opinion).. metallic riffing like shellac, big noise like sonic youth, pitchy vocals like jesus lizard, plodding heaviness like helmet, lyrical pretense like the birthday party.. so in conclusion, I think we should both go listen to van Morrison..
