this is almost sort of good but it feels so canned melodically/chordally, like their songs were generated by an algorithm

Do you have like a rule where you have to be wrong at least once a day???

In every page it looks like half of the comments are positive and the rest negative.

No, twice.

Alex is a Philippe Herreweghe man and I can fuck with that
|
| |
Herreweghe is a pretty damn amazing conductor, yeah.
|
| |
I don’t know stuff very well but I gravitate toward him as a conductor, Rachel Podger as a violinist, and Pierre Hantai as a harpischordsman when it comes to Bach. Those are my dudes
|
| |
Those are all great. When it comes to Bach my favorite conductors are Herreweghe and John Eliot Gardiner, Andras Schiff and Evgeni Koroliov my favorite pianist (Schiff is my favorite pianist in general); I haven't listened enough to decide my favorites for his violin works, but Sigiswald Kuijken, Podger and Jascha Heifetz have my favorite recordings of Bach's sonatas and partitas.

Not answering that trick question.
I admit Bach invented some great modulations.
