"identical" intrigues me a bit ... fine i'll listen but I refuse to become a fan or listen to them more than once.

I'm not saying they're as good. Some questionable compositional choices (key change in the first song for example) but stylistically they are so much like this album. Not this band's previous albums but Sister Cities specifically.

woah ... this is an incredible wonder years rip-off. They sound spot on. Everything is exactly spot on. The lyricism, the voice (both quite and yelling), the song structure. The instruments are definitely being played a little bit more loose and pop-punky like older wonder years, especially when its more chuggy, but the songwriting is definitely more sister cities style. The last minute sounds more like Mayday Parade, but I am actually impressed with this young bands emulation.

Yeah, even my lady, asked "is that a new wonder years song?" and she's only a casual fan. The rest of the album has some great tracks as well, there are other influences there.

I hear so much Mayday Parade in Bounds of Modesty as well, especially in some of the other tracks

Ok only done the one song you rec’d Sam, but this sounds like old school Mayday Parade with Soupy singing. Which means I’m in love.

Ha ha, nice, glad you enjoying it.
Remnants has some blink 182 vocal interchanges, a lot of wonder years, some skater punk guitars before ending with some sweet falsetto.
There are also Mayday Parade, and Panic at the disco influences, scattered throughout the album

One of the later songs also sounded like Say Anything.
Definitely some addicting hooks

jesus I hope the acoustic/bonus version of Ghosts of Right Now is the template for their next album. effortlessly makes the leap that the actual album keeps missing

I do like that version, but not more than most of the songs on Burst and Decay. It fits with the dark atmosphere of Sister Cities, but I just find it less interesting—less of a departure from how the track sounded before. It just cuts out aggression...

not too huge on Burst and Decay except for the reworking of You in January (top tier TWY)
but that version of Ghosts is my favourite thing they've recorded since Cigarettes & Saints
