New 10 minute song, very reminiscent of the new No-Man album he did with Tim Bowness imo

Man that new song is terrible. Decent enough production but the vocals are ughhhh.
Respect for him doing new things though

I really wish he would stop singing. A shame because the track is good otherwise.

He's got a nice voice, though. Shines in its Britishness

Plus he's a vocal harmony master

I never had problems with his voice either. It's thin, but he makes the best out of it. Stuff like The Pin Drop can be a bit annoying though, that's kinda strained

Don’t get me wrong the whole soulless, polished, superficiality thing is ridiculously prevalent with Wilson and all his output but when it’s good it’s some of the best stuff out there. Anyone who can’t be failed to be moved by The Raven that Refused to Sing is a husk.

Staning for to the bone or this new song is peak Stockholm syndrome. It’s boomer level stubborn behavior. If Steven ever had the magic, it has turned to rot. His creativity is 100% dead and his career is basically the fall out boy of prog now

wow that's cold dude

@DamnVanne Damn, Vanne! This was so harsh. Both cold and uncalled for! I do feel like the change from HCE to TTB show a progressive dip in creativity, but I don't thing magic has fallen out of him (wow, why do I keep writing these awful puns?)

Progger, we're going down swingin'

I don't see SW as a progger anyway. There was some prog on Raven and HCE, but for the most part of his career he did very little prog

On his solo work I'd agree, but with PT he progged hard.
|
| |
yeah early pt is straight floyd worship
|
| |
I still would call the new stuff neo-prog
