I prefer MTM but I'd put it over THP and LT. This album doesn't sound like Linkin Park, but it's decent for pop music lol.

MtM is not a good album but it looks like a masterpiece next to this

I hated MtM when it came out, but now I appreciate it. It's no HT or Meteora, obviously, but it has some good songs.

Still like this one a great deal. Probably around the middle of my Linkin park ranking. Find myself singing "Halfway Right" a lot.

I wish there were stems, or at least Acapella/Instrumental versions for this album.

Instruments feel way too buried under the vocal bloat at times.

Seriously, if you just bump the instrumentals on every single song by +3db, the entire album is at least half a point better. But you can't do that for every song. Because there's no official instrumentals beyond the singles. And the fanmade ones aren't perfect + aren't synced to the original. Ugh.

"Pretty sure I’ve heard you say that before Koris but it’s still baffling to me. You’re a similar age to me I reckon — where were you in middle school?!"

I was a prog metal nerd and didn't listen to anything associated with alt/nu-metal lol

Compleltely based by the way

I will probably go on a little LP discog run for the new album, reminding me of what I didn't listen to in middle school as well lmao.

Band is pretty okay imo

Part of me feels like this album is the price we had to pay to get The Hunting Party

Wild how this was contemporaneous with an album like Big Fish Theory given how little the prod job on that one has aged in comparison. I don’t mind a few tracks from this in isolation but as a whole the soft attack synth pads, chipmunk vocal chops, and rolling hats make this feel like the band just wanted to pin their reference mixes to a hazy memory of hearing Porter Robinson’s Worlds while recreationally abusing nitrous and call it a day.
