@AaroN911: Yeah, that's the one big flaw of the record. I've always found it strange how inconsistent M. Shadows is from album to album. He sounds just fine on albums like Waking the Fallen and Nightmare, but then sounds like ass on albums like City of Evil and this. It's a real gamble

I think he came into his own with the self titled, even though I don’t really care for that record. He kept that going through Nightmare and Hail to the King, but I think his voice was just shot by the time this record came out.

I think thats a little unfair to Arin. He was great on Not Ready to Die and Carry On, and obviously had the chops to play the Rev's stuff live. He just got fucked by Hail to the King being such a simple ass mediocre album. I dont really think he ever had a chance to make it with this band.
