yeah, pretty much I miss when he used to sound drastically different from album to album

he's still good now but I feel less interested in his vox these days

It's a risk changing you vocals up every alBum like that, you get results like dbm1 and self titled which sounds pretty damn good, but you can also end up with nails on chalk board, filtered through a garbage can Bullshit that's on dbm2.

I think he sounds as good as he ever has these past three albums and especially secret band where he was very dynamic from song to song

he does sound as good as he ever has but I was a huge fan of his dbm2 vox and I think he's always sounded good no matter what he's done in terms of his vocals, but since he's sounded more or less the same the past 3 albums it's getting stale

I think Jon has gained more control over his vocals with each release. Acceptance Speech was the beginning, Instant Gratification was him improving, and Mothership is his technique coming full circle, being his most vicious and controlled performance yet.

Picked this up when i was out on a bit of a whim as i've heard these guys mentioned a few times recently, i didn't even know what to expect as i'd never heard a note of their music before but despite it being different than most stuff i listen to i'm pleasantly surprised.

Any suggestions for what you would consider their best? I've ordered their self titled yeaterday but need to obviously wait for it to get here.
