I love Julie’s vox in isolation & then sometimes feel the album is too vocally focused, weird. Instrumentally this might be the weakest CoL since the debut. I don’t know...
Still works, I just have very high expectations for these guys.

I mean, it’s still excellent & pleasing that it’s something different but if you asked me whether I’d want another CoL album with Julie or one without, I’d go for without... both would be fine of course!
It’s definitely a good thing this exists.

This has time to grow & it’s cool to have something different. I might prefer it to Vertikal as an overall package (probably have it equal right now) & given they already have 4 albums better than Vertikal, then perhaps this will actually get more playtime.
I’m not knocking this at all (ok, maybe a little) but the instrumentals sound less crushing that usual & it’s a more vox-oriented project, understandably.
Lass has a nice voice though, wouldn’t mind checking her other stuff out at some point.

I can see why someone would love this enough to call it a masterpiece, Vertikal however is a little strange when SATH/Salvation exist, even EK/The Beyond if you want something slightly different. I don’t see what Vertikal does that the others cannot.
