I am surprised how great some songs here are. It needs some mercyless trimming, but the results could be excellent

If it was trimmed back on the ballads, and the album had creative flow and transitions between the songs (like a "proper" concept album), I believe this would be held in higher graces, as the core music on is fine to great

I think the album is better than we usually think. Maybe too lengthy but still is, for me, an album with an enjoyable listening. And we cannot say that with this album the band didn't try to change a little.
