I love Altogether for what it is, but I would definitely prefer something more in the vein of PV. The lyrics are definitely more literal and simple on Altogether, there's not really anything to look into or further understand. Like it's a song about going to Parties. Nothing more, nothing less lol.
I agree, I would definitely prefer some more artistic/creative type lyrics on the next one though.

honestly yeah super curious about where they'll go next.. like will they double down on the 80s synth vibes or try and revert back to gazey stuff or? more than anything i think i just want to be able to be excited about turnover again lol :[

I dunno. I think it's possible that they lean into the 80's synth type stuff for another album before switching things up. They did the Turnover EP and Magnolia, both with that emo grungy vibe. Then they did PV and Good Nature, both kinda that gazey style. Wouldn't surprise me if they made some minor adjustments but kept the general vibes of Altogether for the next one.
I guess we'll see. Hopefully you like the next one more Jes bro :]

always wonder how artists feel about album('s numbers) a bit after release. altogether didn't do too well numbers-wise (compared to pv/gn) and it also wasn't that well received.. idk maybe that makes it more likely for them to switch it up drastically or smth
