Ahh nice Mayhem. Certain albums have that “first time” emotional experience.

Yeah, these guys are still in my top 3 of all time even after almost 10 years of listening. Bands like Dream Theater and BTBAM have sunk a little but Opeth are the cream of the crop. Only difference now is that the first 3 LPs are very much my favourites.

For me, Porcupine Tree is ironically the band that's been sinking. I still enjoy them (certain albums are still amazing imo, like Signify or Fear of a Blank Planet), but albums like In Absentia, The Incident, Stupid Dream, and Lightbulb Sun aren't really as hot as I used to think they were when I was a teenager/young adult

You people are crazy. Isolation Years might be my favorite ballad of all time other than Us by Regina Spektor

Soccer - I actually dig Steve Wilson's latest, To The Bone.

I'd be fine if Mikael does screaming instead of death growls...

Somehow I like his death growls in this album but not in the previous ones and I don't know why.

Honestly, I'm starting to prefer his solo work to Porcupine Tree in general. Hand Cannot Erase is my favorite Wilson album alongside Signify

Please acknowledge that rodrigo is a better listener than you guys and way better at analyzing music.

Being agitated at his conclusions just underlines your musical ignorance.
