Voix Sereines is probably one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard and the lyrics are perfect.

Yeah, it definitely stands up to quite a few listens, beautifully ethereal the whole way through

The bonus track that should have been on the album gives it replay value, that I can agree with. Without it, not so much.

second new track sounds like Nous Sommes Emeraudes at first haha

digging the old school Alcest vibes, was not really fucking with the timid direction he was going with, with this album

Kodama's unfortunately not better than this. I loved their blackgaze, don't get me wrong, but those of us who have a long enough attention span know this sound is better and sounds more natural and fluid for them. Kodama's singles are great, but this album just feels more special. Wish they'd have explored this shimmery path a bit more. Kodama's existence made me change this album from a 4.5 to a 5. This is just nice.

what, this is the most immediate thing he's ever done. his blackgaze stuff is way more thorough and nuanced than this slowdive lite
