I think the biggest similarity is that the story works extremely well

Man I get the love for Scenes of a Memory, clearly a good album, but never once have a felt the slightest nudge to listen to DT. I have to kind of set my mind to it, like I'm pressured to give it my attention by some unseen force or something.
That ain't the case with QR. None of this is a strong argument for one or the other, but there it is.

Some people prefer concise and hooky. Some people prefer complex and technical. Ain't nothing wrong with either.

Not usually a huge fan of story-based concept albums but this one is narratively simple enough that it works well

Yeah its there if you want it, but focus on the narrative is not needed to still revel in its glory.

Remember that garbage part II they came out with that sounded like garbage and didn't explain or add anything to the original story?
