after the party's my favorite menzingers album but thats partially since it came out literally a few weeks after i got super heavy into them so timing really is everything plus the t/t is my top song of theirs but this and it are like neck and neck, with rented world and chamberlain not far behind

butt.

Same here, I listened to this once or twice and was like “yeah this is pretty good” and then two weeks later ATP came out and it was like my anthem of the year. Hate to be totally cliche, but coming out of a long nasty breakup, that album really helped lift some clouds for me and change my perspective a little.

rented world was weirdly the album where they initially clicked for me because at first this kinda lost me after the opening stretch but with time this and atp have outshined it. rented world will always have a little bit of sentimental value because of it even tho some songs are a little lackluster

chamberlain waits owns but is really really top heavy. it just happens that side a is one of the best side a's ever (plus tasker morris station and rivalries wreck)

After the Party was the album where they clicked for me for sure. I always loved this album, and I liked Rented World (The Talk was my favorite strangely enough) and I enjoyed Chamberlain. But when After the Party dropped it was like the flood gates. I listened to every album and every song excessively. I've waned down for now, but they went from being like in the 80's on my Last.fm to being number 2 in only a year.

@Minus: reminds me of when Erase Me dropped, I got obsessed with Underoath and now they're my #1 artist.

i got lastfm in like june of 2018 so a lot of potentially high artist stats for underoath and this band among others arent there but when alk3 announced a new album they became my number one artist by a significant margin with second place being like 5,000 below

For me it's Underoath with 1565, then A7X (still kicking in, partly because I listened to them a shitload in 2015-2016 and had a resurgence last year) at 1505, then MCR at about 1250, BFMV at about 1130, and Trivium and ETF tied around 1060-something. Below that, I have In Flames at almost 900, Shinedown at 750ish, and Breaking Benjamin and ATR tied at around 700. The rest doesn't matter all that much...yet, aside from Weezer at 275 and Glassjaw at nearly 400.

After the Party, aside from the standout tracks, grew off me rather quickly
