Man I used to play "Octavarium" constantly when I was younger. Thought it was the greatest song of all time.

It's got a great build up and mood. Haven't listened to it in forever though. Don't really listen to many 20 minute tunes anymore

These Walls is actually pretty unique, in the sense that you don't often hear power ballads in such a low tuning like that

Objectively catchy album. m/

Title track is too good for the rest of the album. I just find myself skipping to it after a few songs off this nowadays.

Same. Sometimes These Walls and Panic Attack are something I want to listen to, but even these songs hardly compare to the title track.

Haven't listened to classic Dream Theater in quite awhile. I used to LOVE this band but have moved on to other things as I grew up. Playing the TT now, thanks for the bump

Root of all evil is really good agreed. I like most of the songs here, the only songs I don't ever listen to are 2,4 (one of their worst songs ever) , and 6. It's more like if I have 20 minutes I'd rather just bump the title track over the rest. MAYBE root and panic attack back to back if I'm feeling heavier.
