I feel Jesses trying to implement straight up hard rock vocals now and is trying to push the band from their Metalcore roots and it simply sounds boring and lacks the fire that Killswitch Engage once had.

Yeah Gmork I feel you, this was probably their best record (and while i'm in the minority As Daylight Dies is actually quite close for me). There were some vicious riffs and screams here.
