This album is so damn awesome. Ending on your best album in an awesome discography is a real ballsy move that Thursday doesn't get enough credit for. Wonder what that next album (will?) would've sounded like

walking out on a band's last song because you don't know it is pretty lame tbh.

Super lame - on live Thursday. It's funny how Thursday is in a growing line of these types of post-hardcore/indie/alternative bands that have seemingly outgrown a lot of their fanbases. Brand New has gotten away with it more than anyone, but a lot of bands hung it up (amidst other reasons) because of a new found disconnect with their larger fanbase; too bad

Aye, these guys lost me for a while. I was jamming them since Full Collapse and just kind of lost interest after A City By the Light Divided. I actually never even heard this until this year.

This would be such a hard 5 if it wasn’t for Open Quotes. His vox are horrible on that one lol

???? there is no such thing as bad Geoff vox. Open Quotes is at least a top 4 track for me as well.
That opening scream and instrumentation gets me going every time, and I always get chills the way Geoff delivers the line " You got a taste for the candy contracts"

Yo I just picked up tickets to one of the 20yr anniversary shows. Gonna see War All the Time in full, so juiced.
I...I should probably listen to this at some point.

I'll buy a ticket for their show when they play this album in full.

they only played like one track from this both times i saw them, and sadly there probably won't ever be enough interest for them to tour this album either....

God damn Turnpike Divides really is awesome. Especially that middle and final part of the song. Super emotional and atmospheric. He has a great voice, still.

He can be a bit irritating sometimes but he’s overall very nice, especially on Turnpike Divides. Everyone just kills it on that track.

He's really a great guy in real life, too. He really does care about things like helping smaller local bands, and such. I initially liked this band because they sang about what's going on in their real lives. Living on the east coast I find this band kind of a 'hometown team' of sorts. Also some of the lyrics actually talk about New Jersey and New York. Like Turnpike Divides, I've been on the road he talks about in that song.

I live in north jersey so he’ll yes I’ve been on that road too. It’s quite a moving song considering how beautiful he paints Jersey to be in the end.

I want this band to come out with a new album so baddd, but part of me is scared it would be average with the way most comebacks are going
I feel like if anyone could rise above it though thursday would have the best chance

I agree. I feel like Thursday would never settle for putting out a shit album.

they’ve flat out said that they’ll only come back if they genuinely feel it would be a worthy edition to their discog, and flat out said that they think most comeback albums aren’t any good (this was a post they made to announce their tour back in like august)
I would love new music from them especially since the most recent musical endeavors of Geoff (the next four years, permanence) were fucking killer but i doubt well get it. I think theyre perfectly content just touring off full collapse and war all the time, and those shows are always fun as fuck so i cant say id complain

This has held up very well
