Letting Rody take the reins for this album was a terrible mistake. The lyrics are far too personal(terrible also) and I'd like to have my concept/semi concept albums back. The musicianship may be better, but overall a disappointment.

Don't see why the lyrics are such a big deal for everybody; they aren't beautiful, but the musicianship far outweighs it in my opinion.
Tongue-Splitter is becoming one of my favorites, slowly but surely... I'm surprised nobody talks about it.

Bumped down to a 4. I think this is wearing off on me, i just haven't felt like coming back to this lately.
But since this is still my favorite PTH album, i've also bumped kezia and fortress down to a 3.5.

I'm sorry, but this is just not as good as Fortress or Kezia. Especially Fortress was very good, but this is not memorable at all. I cannot get into this album! When I listen to the first two or three songs, the rest just sounds the same and I stop listening.

Well, of course initially they seem similar; it's a batch of songs written in a similar style. But once you give them time to sink in, they can really grow on you if you give them a chance. I advise not losing hope; there's a lot of good music that you deserve to enjoy!
Start with the first batch of songs on the album. I found myself drawn to the first three in the beginning, and Hair-Trigger's still my favorite.

Good album. I love Rody's vocals.

Fuck it- this album deserves at least a 4.5 from me. I don't ever get tired of this shit... It makes me so happy!

Lol, it doesn't work for all. It's a somewhat polarizing album; I personally love it, but I guess I can kiiinda see why others wouldn't get into it.
