Dyer Maker has really grown off me though

I think this is my favorite Zep album

Same, but II comes close

II is probably fifth or so for me…I seem to be the only one who isn't the hugest on it.
I think I'd currently rank them:
Houses of the Holy
IV
Physical Graffiti
I
II
Presence
III
In Through the Out Door

It will always be just too bad that The Crunge and Dyer Maker came in between these fantastic songs.

Except for the fact that they're both amazing songs.

If only.

I've grown to enjoy those songs personally. It's got to a point where I wouldn't want to change anything about this album as even The Crunge contributes something to the album's character.
This album probably just about edges out Physical Graffiti as my favourite Zep these days.

They're both far from good but they dont bother me

This would easily have been my favorite if I liked "The Song Remains the Same" more but I
can't say I really like it.
Never had a problem with the other 7.

nothing matches I-IV
perhaps if they called this V it would've been better

Nah man, I'll always argue that Houses, Graffiti and Presence were their high point.
But hell no one would back me so fuck it.

there are people who will agree with you on this and PG at least, but with Presence you are probably on your own
i'll never understand it though

Presence rules. Never understood the hate for that album.

Was obviously exaggerating.

Maybe people don't like when Led Zeppelin do funk?
Since presence has like 3 funk tracks and most tend not to like "The Crunge" which is also mainly funk? I mean I think Zeppelin is pretty good at funk personally, but it's a theory.

Also, Ars, I'll back you with Physical Graffiti being their high point, but I'm not sure if I'd say this is on the same level.

So PG doesn't have any filler on it?
|

This and PG were definitely their high point. I-IV just aren't on the same level for me.
