I still don't understand how review comments express our musical knowledge.

When I made my comment on how I thought this album was being a bit preachy, I took that purely from this album, and was not referring to the other albums. When witchxrapist started tangling in lyrics, I took that as an argument regarding not this album, but the entire discography of all the albums. From my personal interpretations, I felt August Burns Red was less preachy than Underoath, not counting this album. This album, however, has obvious Christian influences (In Division, A Divine Eradication). When I said the album was being a bit preachy, I was referring to songs like these on the album.
As for August Burns Red, I never ever stated that they didn't mingle in their religion into their music. All I said was that I felt August Burns Red didn't preach, or at least wasn't as preachy. Regardless of how "preachy" August Burns Red is, however, I like their musical style more, which is why I prefer them to Underoath.
I've never seen this much hype for an August Burns Red album and they do Metalcore so much better.

Were you here when Constellations was released?
they do Metalcore so much better.
If all of Underoath's albums were like this one, I'd be torn, but as their collective discographies now stand I'd have to agree with you.

If any thread goes for this long it will always go to Hell... just look at the Diamond Eyes thread.
And yeah, ABR writes better lyrics, even if they are sometimes preachy imo.

I wasn't here. I don't recall Constellations being hyped as much as Underoath's albums have, but if it was hyped here, then that's truly amazing, and I'm glad as the band definitely deserves it.

I do like this album. The musical style does work really well. I was never negging Underoath.

Eh, ABR's lyrics are okay, I like how sentimental Dallas' lyrics were in older UO but Spencer's definitely not too good of a writer, aside from a few key songs.

Exactly, personally this is much better than normal for Underoath... I never disliked them but this is the first one that's really clicked.

#1 Underoath does metalcore better than ABR. ABR only has a couple really good albums while UO has at least 4.
#2 Neither band is particularly preachy, at least not in a religious manner.
#3 Constellations has been hyped way more than any UO album I know of.
#4 Who the fuck cares?

Really? Maybe ABR just gets a lot more hype around here since Lancaster isn't too far away.
