i had this old scottish teacher in high school, grew up as a teen in the early 60s. he caught a bar show in Glasgow one night with some random ass young band (the members were younger than him i think) and he said it was the loudest fuckin thing he's ever heard, buncha youngsters wrecking the shit out of their instruments, everything on overdrive deafening the whole audience basically and generally not giving any shits

turns out it was a rly young version of The Who. always loved that story made me respect The Who a ton

I hate myself for not remembering his name right now, but there were occasions where their drummer was so wasted they had audience members fill in for him.

They came to Wisconsin the last time like a month before I got into them

But, I totally had the chance to see Jeff Rosenstock live in Madison, of which I should have totally gone to (he played $2,400,000 Future 86!!!)
