Honestly though, it's got all these nice ambient harmonies, which I like, but I struggle to truly fall in love with it when it's pretty much the focal point with little else alongside (beats don't count).

It's not a particular gripe, it just doesn't have what I love about this. It isn't as dark or intense and the little motifs don't get me as much.

fair enough. for a second there i thought you disliked them for the same reason. i still maintain that music has the right is really dark at times. eagle in your mind, color of the fire, sixtyten - all pretty creepy

@Gyromania I wouldn't call those tracks creepy if you really get into the mood of the album. They're just very mystical and fascinating. But I guess that's subjective.

Matt, don't get me wrong, I totally see where you're coming from I just associate it differently
and I've had many different experiences with MHTRTC that while it definitely has some menacing vibes going on, it's always been an album that takes me on a positive adventure both in nature as well as in my mind
