I like how you can figure out the guitar parts to Metallica songs by playing random simple riffs or single notes. Kinda funny I grew up thinking Metallica can shred now I feel like it's almost cookie cutter

simplest riffs are often the best

Agreed. Sabbath riffs are the easiest and most effective at the same time.

Finally got around to listening to this in its entirety. There were some damn good cuts, but FUCK does it drag. Considering I quite like AJFA, that's saying a lot.

I enjoy all songs on this one.
|

Yeah, all songs are good or better, IMO. But surely, there are no real classics on here, like MoP, One, Fade to Black, Creeping Death, or whatever
|
| |
One could surely argue that Nothing Else Matters, Enter Sandman, etc. are classics. But not in comparison to those afforementioned.

They're mainstream classics imo. But not in the sense that MoP or the other songs you mentioned. Not in the same league either.

Yeah, had a little trouble explaining it (it's early.....), but you got it!

The review is pointless because everyone has their own opinion on this album. I think this album is amazing and it kills countdown to extinction

Last time I checked, I didn't love this all that much.
"Enter Sandman", "Nothing Else Matters" and "Sad But True" are pretty badass, but album itself just isn't great imo.
