I wouldn't say it's bad luck, but since Neurosis albums take you on such a journey, stopping midway through one of them just feels incredibly unfulfilling

New Damage is one of my least favourites but it still kicks ass. Hard to pick a weak track here.

Grunge is has always been a pretty weird label. All the grunge bands are very different from one another and it's hard to pin them down on similar characteristics imo.

Do you guys have some ideas?

I'm thinking of self loathing lyrics (but pinning down a genre thing on it's lyrics always felt stupid to me) and slower paced rock music. But it's hard to think of something else for me, Soundgarden are closer to Sabbath or Led Zeppelin than to Nirvana.

Looking back, the moment I realized I didn't hate grunge, I hated Nirvana, was pretty enlightening.

"Grunge typically uses electric guitar, bass guitar, drums and vocals. Grunge also incorporates influences from indie rock bands. Lyrics are typically angst-filled and introspective."

There, now you can move on.
