What you do is find a nice looking chick that listens to radio junk and slowly convert her towards metal. Cesar's got the right idea.

I tried this with my ex. It was kind of hard, but I did some improving.

Changing the track list is one of the stupidest idea's I've ever heard. Especially for a PTH album.

I always change tracklist to suit what feels better to me, granted that kezia had the perfect track list I couldn't change that.

Also if I tried making my gf listen to metal, it would be an epic fail. I quote "That music gives me a headache".

She likes shitty music like John Mayer and Jack Johnson but I was able to get her into MTB and attend a show. That's about it minus some Anthony Green works.

I actually manage to take my ex to a Hardcore show. She had a good time. I remember this time when I put Opeth in the car with her and she said and I quote "I imagine Bowser singing."

Bloodmeat and Bone Marrow were actually written as two parts of one song.

This album seems to have a new comment every time I am on sputnik.
From what I have heard, it is brilliant.
But still, are there just like half the users on sputnik constantly talking about this album and nothing else?
It's actually putting me off getting into them for now...

Not really, I just can't be bothered to get into something when there is this much hype surrounding it.
I will instead get into the old sikth stuff, and then get into PTH when people stop masturbating over them.

I hope you're patient.

Listen to music for music and not kudos. Liking something that's popular wont make you a bad person (but your blatant immaturity will). Shallow, shallow scum. This Message Edited On 02.08.08

You need a kick up the arse if you won't listen to music because it is praised by nearly everyone, that's not ignorant, it's blatantly stupid.

Cocaine, I can't help but notice that you first:

Call him a (gigantic) faggot

Then:

Call him immature

And disregarding any cocky, well arranged bullshit of an argument you have (and I'm assuming you have one, because you always do) for disagreeing with what I'm about to say, that's fucking hypocritical.

You basically accomplished proving you're homophobic while calling someone else immature, and if anything proves growth, it's accepting others. But based on the shit you've spewed at anyone who has said anything that can even be remotely taken as negative about PTH, you probably wouldn't realize that.

Comments like that lead me to believe he listens to the music he does based purely on appearances and aesthetic. It means nothing to him.

You basically accomplished proving you're homophobic

I dont use faggot in terms of homosexuality. I apply it like it was applied to them, ie: akin to a bundle of sticks, kindling. Anyways, I edited it out for sensitive eyes. Furthermore: I'm accepting of all but those who are blatantly shallow, ignorant and vain. Do not make assumptions about me ever again. I'm not homophobic, in the least. I repeat: never make an assumption about me again. That includes the assumption that my defending this band is directly related to blind-ignorance, or that my berating of stupid comments is exclusive to Protest.

But based on the **** you've spewed at anyone who has said anything that can even be remotely taken as negative about PTH, you probably wouldn't realize that.

People can hate them all they want. I berate stupidity and it's not exclusive to Protest, it's just more rampant in this review thread because of it's sheer size. You're fuelling the fire with comments like that. This Message Edited On 02.08.08

Just because YOU don't see it used in context of being homophobic does NOT mean others will see it that way. You, and I'm making an assumption here, regardless of how you told me not to, are smart enough to realize that. Anything you say on here is open for interpretation. Perhaps my statements were a tad barbed, but regardless, it DOES appear as though you defend this band endlessly. You may not believe that you do, but to others, it's fairly apparent.

I will state now that I have nothing against this band, they are very talented; I just think that people who don't like this band should be able to say so and not get their thoughts questioned.
