Contrary to how beloved this album is this thread is trash cause all people do is complain and whine about it.

No one cares about post rock anymore sweetie

arguments have multiple sides, various perspectives, some (Mongi) whine when their feelings aren't being regularly validated

its actually kind of impressive how bad post-rock is as a whole, despite the fact that the formative albums for the genre are mostly incredible

i guess it morphed into a pretty different sound but still

there are a lot of good bands in 2nd wave post rock and ummm yep not this one. paved the way for so much garbo to come

Yeah this wave of post rock is absolutely brain numbing stuff. It’s like part of the manifesto was that writing anything worthy of a 3 or higher would be too interesting and must be avoided at all costs

As much as i hate sigur ros at least they are distinguishable from the legions of explosions in the sky types, even if I’d rather listen to a million explosions in the sky clones for the rest of my life than sigur ros’s sad but hopeful horse girl discography
