This album is nu metal as fuck, chad gray's vocals have a strong influence of johnathan davis and phil anselmo, the bass is murky as fuck, the guitar has the drop a and drop d tunes found in every nu metal album, sure as a whole is more complex but the nu metal elements are present, the drums have a strong influence of hardcore and hip hop and the delivery specially in this era was similar to acts like slipknot and mushroomhead

Deus this has nothing to do with nu metal as far as I'm concerned.

I'm really picking up everything from King Crimson to Edge of Sanity in this as far as progressive elements go.
