Brian Harvey was without a doubt the best drummer of the, I think, 2 they’ve had. Apparently he was bad off on the sauce and it put him at odds with the rest of the band. Dude had a perfect style for this music though. Perfect blend of groovy, fast, and technical. And Frost is literally the only person I’ve ever seen describe these lyrics as funny lmao

You’re saying he was bad at drumming when he wasn’t drinking? I would think the opposite

When I say "bad off on the sauce", I only mean that he had an alcohol issue. I wasn't correlating the drinking with his playing in any way, just how he got along with the rest of the group. He sounds awesome on pretty much every live vid I've seen though, so if he was playing drunk, it didn't affect his sound significantly. I for one wouldn't like to play a set with more than a mild buzz because I'd want to be clear headed for accuracy's sake. Being lit all of the time sounds so shitty, I don't see how people function like that.

No one had any idea

that the girls eyes were revolving under her ruby

tongue. "This is disgusting, it's pornography"

exclaimed a pasty slug-like woman in a fur coat,

vanilla ice-cream smeared across her double chin like

a money shot. Countered a balding professor type in his

mid-forties, his left hand stuffed crassly down the

front of his pants "No, no, no. This is beautiful,

this is art."

Hopefully it's actually solid though because the last two albums have been really really meh. Doesn't help JR's vocals are beyond shot to hell

I liked Head Cage and the Octagonal Stairway was really solid imo, but hey I liked Book Burner too. I think they’re all fs noticeably weaker than the Prowler/Terrifyer/Phantom run but these records are all fucking classics, any band would drop off a little after having that kind of run
