yeah idk sounded completely fine to me. the almost growling he did in the second half was honestly sick as hell and worked really well. unleash dark dave.

i actually thought the song whipped ass. didn't expect the speed. that intro solo and hard as hell riff that follows was great. only complaint was the ending went on a bit long and fizzled out. maybe plays differently in the context of the album.

I think my biggest complaint is this is the “final” Megadeth album and we’re just getting Megadeth by the numbers. Hoping this is just a lead single thing and there’s some gold in the deep cuts. Maybe even a slower, more introspective track.
It’d be awesome if he could pull together an amazing swan song but off that single alone I’m predicting are very strong (and predictable) 3/5, much like his last two records.

i think there will be some surprises in store, this is definitely a safe solid single. megadeth has never strayed too far from the path but i have always dug when they have. but also again given what he's been through it's amazing it's good at all tbh. i respect the hell out of him.
also i absolutely love the album art. perfect megadeth cheese. the tipping point single art is really cool as well.

yeah I totally agree, I thought the song was a 7/10 but if that's the best dave's got, considering it's the opening track and the lead single meant to generate hype, I'm worried the album will be pretty mid. 3.3/5 incoming

Tbh I’d rather he take a big swing and miss over giving us another Dystopia or Sick Dying and Dead. They were fine but were just too safe.
Metallica is in the same boat. They’ve both become way too complacent, I think that’s why even if I don’t love it I do respect Lulu
