That sucks. I didn’t love it or anything but their last one was easily their best since Endgame.
Not exactly a high bar to clear but still

I didn't get the impression there was the slightest bit of bad blood between kiko and dave but I took the exit quotes at face value, admittedly.

I mean Kiko has been writing his own music for 20 years, most of it very good, and then enters a band where he has zero creative freedom. that sorta situation almost never works unless they're being paid a bajillion bucks (rob trujillo) and we all know Dave doesn't pay well.

Album riffs hard! I do need to get used to Mustaine's vocals for me to rate this any higher.

Dave fucking needs to get Marty back before they really end it. I would vanquish armies to catch a megadeth show with them both playing

Finally checked the song + video, Dave’s looking like Frank in shameless in some of that video lol
Songs decent fun, probably a good idea to call it a day tho, his vocals have been shot

it's more than admirable he's doing vocals at all given what he's been through

good for him… but I’ve been saying this for years, idk if it’s ego or what but Dave should’ve hired another guitarist that can do backup vocals. There’s probably a million dudes out there capable of playing leads and at least getting in the ballpark of how he used to sound, the vocals in the recorded version of this aren’t terrible honestly but I know he’s gonna be a mess live. Still a hell of guitarist but goddamn man it was ROUGH when I saw them.
Hell, Deftones have a second vocalist at their live shows that sometimes play leads on songs that Chino would normally step in, and their live show hasn’t been better in years! and their songs are approximately a thousand times easier to play, there’s no shame in it!

Song was ok I guess. Really good production though

Yeah it sounded beefy as fuck. I actually really enjoyed it. Doesn’t have shit on this album but, aside from Super Collider, Megadeth easily has the best modern output of any of the big 4 imo, so I’ll give Dave that. Managing to drop a top 5 album that late in the game is impressive.
I know Endgame was 15 years ago but that’s the best thrash album any of those bands have put out since their heyday. I do think I like God Hates Us All more than the average slayer fan, but I’m weird when it comes to them. I think Reign in Blood is massively overhyped and is probably like my fifth favorite Slayer record
