Plenty of Deftones cover bands in town I could have seen probably, it's not what I paid for though. It's their fault for not announcing it earlier so that they can make sure they sell their tickets. I'll obviously still go see them, everything's already arranged, but they have been taking L's in terms of decision-making left and right as someone already pointed out.

Btw it also answers the questions as to why there was a third guitarist doing Chino's parts on some songs on this tour... because he's the one replacing Stephen on the EU tour. They obviously knew and planned this months ago.

Watching some of the recent live vids, the band itself still sound great live -- but jesus christ is Chino's voice shot now. Not gonna hate on the guy for it, just the result of that style of music for the last twenty to thirty years.
