"Lol I’m not “gatekeeping” thrash, just wishing more people would take interest in the genre as a whole outside of this band. You can like Vektor all you want"

But then you run into the problem of "it's starting to get too popular and now I don't like it anymore" or "but I liked it first before it got popular." It'll always be a circle

Why does this album anger the thrash gatekeepers so much?

because people who call this a classic tend to be the same people who dismiss the entirety of thrash after hearing a couple big 4 albums. we saw an example of it just a couple pages back. it's the album's fans and not the album itself that causes the frustration imo

Seems to me that those people are the ones who claim this is either not thrash or shit thrash, but okay.

That’d be dumb of someone to say, but you’re probably right. Either way it’d be cool if some of the lesser-known classics got more bumps around here

"Please elaborate"

Well, it's not rap, so, it is bad. Also, it is bad.

Y'know, I see where you're coming from with all this, but, frankly, I don't think you have a say in the matter.

@Source: I checked Extol and affiliates, what more do you want from me? I’m definitely OK with listening to more thrash btw, it’s just not currently a priority.

Possible projecting. Possible exaggeration. I need hard data.

I don't understand how grown people can make statements like that.

Also, people who dismiss this are usually people who stopped following music in the mid-90s.
