Is there a single better fucking album for when you're incredibly angry/upset/depressed than this? I really don't think so. Radio Friendly Unit Shifter and Milk It are like, go-to songs when I'm in one of those moods beyond consoling and all I want to do is listen to Kurt Cobain scream his fucking guts out while his guitar hammers me into peaceful oblivion.

"Milk It", "Radio Friendly Unit Shifter", "Frances Farmer..." and "Very Ape" make this album go from great to a complete classic. 4 of the best Nirvana songs ever.

Classic at it's finest. Pennyroyal Tea, Serve The Servants, Dumb, Radio Friendly Unit Shifter, Frances Farmer Will Have Her Revenge On Seattle, All Apologies. The whole album slays!

I like how this albums heavier and less accessible, at least compared to nevermind

This album destroys Nevermind. And I love Nevermind.

There really isn't anything close to a bad track on this or Nevermind in my eyes but I understand why people prefer this album, atleast online. It's darker, less accessible, and is Cobain at possibly his most inspired as a musician. They're just two entirely different beasts though and it's hard for me to ever pick one over the other.
It's strange, I used to prefer Nevermind as a kid and wasn't that high on some of the more abrasive songs on In Utero like Milk It or Radio Friendly Unit Shifter, and now as an adult those are two of my favorites from them. Go figure.
